Bake sale is always fun. It is where you can see all kinds of goods and pastries on every table like colorful candies. Avid bakers can show off their great baking skills by joining the bake sale. It is usually conducted in school programs and community affairs.

Having to join the bake sale can be quite a job. The preparation for the ingredients, shopping, mixing, baking and packaging can eat up a good amount of time. Not to forget clean up afterwards, it's no joke at all. Well for those who are not so used doing some magic in the kitchen, such task can be quite overwhelming.

Joining the bake sale is definitely tiring but very much fulfilling. No need to worry about leaving home for a while and selling your baked goodies if you have ADT home security. Being able to leave home knowing it is protected and secured will definitely make your day out more fun-filled than ever. All that's needed to worry about is to sell those scrumptious treats at the bake sale.

It’s been a so long now that the economy has been struggling to recover from a relentless recession and every family has to look at ways to survive in these challenging times. My sister and I are no different and we have begun searching for ways to save cash without a huge sacrifice to our roommate lifestyle. We are leaving no stone unturned and these are a couple of examples of how we are being pro-active in making big changes in our spending. We are both big consumers in the home, & we are learning to plan our shopping trips with precision and discipline. Sticking to the list and checking local San Antonio grocer’s ads are important to getting the biggest bang for college students buck. We have also tackled the energy efficiency aspect of our home. New weather stripping, caulking & insulation are top priority on our dads list of helpful things . We also contacted San Antonio electric company rates and was surprised how competitive the rates were. It was yet another way to hold onto a few extra bucks during these tough economic times. Learning to live with a budget is an ever-changing experience for us, but we are dedicated and a positive attitude is the key component.

My parents have been trying to talk to us about getting Dish and I didn’t want to hurt their feelings but I do not want a TV in this house. I grew up in a family that didn’t have a lot of technology and I guess for me it’s all about the simple things in life and I want to make sure my kids don’t get too overexposed. The last thing I want is for my whole family to sit around a screen all the time or for the kids to have to just sit around all day texting. Who would have thought in this day and age you’d have to turn down time with your kids to check on emails, you know? I don’t think that’s a healthy way to live and though like I said, I don’t want to offend my parents, the last thing I want is for my family to become too technologically reliant. I need to do all that I can to protect my kids from that!

The other day, I was watching CLEAR TV and a movie came on for its thirty year anniversary that I had never seen. I have to say that I am ashamed that I have never seen “Fried Green Tomatoes”. Of course, I have always heard that it is one of the best movies ever, a Southern Cult Classic. I have seen the other Southern Cult Classics like “Steele Magnolias”, but never got the chance to see “Fried Green Tomatoes”. I feel like I never watched it because my Mom always told me that it was sad and I tend to cry (well not just cry, bawl) at movies. My husband thinks that my crying at movies is ridiculous. Anyway, I just didn’t know what I was missing. It was a great movie. It also had one of my favorite actresses, Kathy Bates. The funny thing is that the girls go to a trial in Valdosta, Georgia. Valdosta is my husband’s home town. I love the movie and will definitely be ordering the DVD.
